Company profile

Roboweld was formed in 2001 to provide a diverse and creative solution to robotic automation, primarily for welding applications. The Company's founder, Carl Heinrich, spent many years in the welding industry and has gained an invaluable knowledge of robotics in this sector. As a leading integrator in Western Canada, Roboweld soon became recognized as a company capable of identifying solutions to difficult welding applications. Moreover, the ability to quantify the potential return on investment in an automated application became a recognized skill of Roboweld, Carl Heinrich and the entire Roboweld team of engineers, technicians and staff.

Forging new territory was a natural evolution for Roboweld. Non-welding applications of robotics soon became a new focus as the Company continued to invest in its Western Canadian market. As North American manufacturers continued to struggle and compete on price, automation emerged as perhaps the single most important variable as a differentiator among competitors. For this reason, Roboweld committed itself to providing much needed education and knowledge about the benefits of robotics in automated solutions whether for welding applications or not. Roboweld has now emerged as a leader in this highly specialized field.

At Roboweld, we pride ourselves on delivering real solutions to real problems, every time. We specialize in providing automated solutions for small to medium sized businesses, many of whom may not be aware of the benefits that would accrue financially and otherwise from a well thought out automation strategy. We help our customers to find ways to increase operating performance and perhaps, to expand within their own industry by taking a leading edge position in automated technologies designed and built by Roboweld that enhance performance.

Traditionally, robots have enhanced productivity in the automotive manufacturing market - large production lines that do repetitive tasks. Robot manufacturers have long sought to expand their market beyond these applications. Vested primarily with the creative and highly skilled team of visionaries, designers and engineers, Roboweld has become a formidable force in the application of robotics in non-traditional and unique environments. Key vendors such as FANUC support Roboweld’s ingenuity.

Roboweld operates three distinct divisions; Robotic Welding Services, OEM Services and its highly acclaimed Special Projects Division.

The Robotic Welding Services Division was created to enable customers, who had not yet made the decision to automate internally, to test the automated environment on an outsourced basis. Using the Company’s fleet of installed robotic cells, customers can utilize a Roboweld cell on a contract basis to determine the merit of the application to their special needs.

The OEM Division designs robotic cells for customer specific applications. This is the “secret sauce” of our business. It’s the heart of what we do and who we are at Roboweld. By leveraging our strategic relationship with vendors such as FANUC and Lincoln Electric, we are better able to first identify an automation opportunity, assess its overall viability, procure your commitment to automate, design the right solution, build it, install it and service it for as long as you feel necessary. We back all our solutions with full warranty and performance criteria.

The Special Projects Division undertakes unique development applications for robotics. We are regularly consulted to develop robotic solutions for highly specialized or difficult tasks. In many cases, we will own the resulting intellectual property or co-own it with our customer. Our creative expertise in robotics has enabled our company to advance into this highly specialized field. We have worked with several Fortune 500 companies, on a global basis, to develop unique robotic solutions for special needs.

Roboweld is truly a unique solution provider. Traditional integration is just one part of our success to-date.

Please call us at any time if you are considering an automation initiative or if we can be of assistance in improving existing automation processes.
